Advanced "SpaceBar" functions
« on: August 16, 2005, 04:10:52 pm »

I wanna ask about menu in Quest-mode:
when I push spacebar in navigation, cursor goes to menu and game goes paused. For returning to navigation I must move cursor to "NAVIGATE" and press [Enter]. How I can use [Space] or this? Got any solutions?

P.S. Thanxx for yes cooperation and sorry for my strange english Smiley

I don't understand your question.

Pressing the space bar while flying around brings you to the menu.

Selecting the 'navigate' menu item returns you to flying around.

Pressing the space bar while in the menu does nothing...

are you asking if there is an easier way  to get back to flying around?

I think it's a feature request to have the spacebar do the same as selecting "navigate" while in the (root) menu.

Silly hunams, he's asking how to change his key configurations.  Of course, Space is already the "go back one level in the menu" key, so solving his immediate problem opens up more problems, but I think they're all easily overcome.

I always thought that would be a good idea too... I just was so used to it by the time UQM existed, I had forgotten.

You seem to have overlooked the link that 0xDEC0DE posted:
http://uqm.stack.nl/wiki/The_Ur-Quan_Masters_Technical_FAQ#How_do_I_change_my_keys.3F

This article tells you how to edit your keys.cfg file to change the keymappings.
