I just wondered- Are there any enterprising types out there who might be able to figure out how to port The Ur-Quan Masters over to any of the portable platforms? I think it would particularly ROCK on the Sony PSP.
I'm not talking about emulation of the PC or Linux version, but actually using the source to make a version specific to these portable consoles... Is it possible? I think PSP would be easy enough because you can play PSP games from the memory stick, so you wouldn't need a developer's kit to put it on a cartridge or anything.
Someone--- PLEASE do this!

As I said in the other thread, developing for the PSP requires a specific development kit. Same deal goes for the DS and the GBA. If you can figure out how to get you hands on the development kit for any of these systems, I'd be happy to give it a try.

GBA development software is easy to find. For example, HAM looks nice.

My bad, I stand corrected. I had trouble looking for dev kits for the PSP and PS2 and i was thinking all the others were the same way. Can anyone recommend any particular hardware for development? I found some but they all seem cheesy.
