Do they have a deeper purpose then selling their coordinates to the melnrome. Or maybe the melnrome are building a deadly weapon and they need those worlds?

There are a lot of references to the Rainbow Worlds being or containing stuff left behind by the Precursors when they left. Even a cursory inspection reveals a lot of useful minerals; it is hardly unlikely that the Melnorme expect to find some other interesting stuff there (Precursor equipment is almost invariably cool once you get it to work). Also, they may be a pointer to where the Precursors went.

btw. what can i do with the clear spndle, the pkunkos told me that the other parts are somewhere in draconis i found the aqua helix and the rosy sphere (i have been told that they are all compatible) but what can i do with then now?
