Amazing. Nobody seems to know that it's easier to help somebody that has parts of his project done, rather than starting one.
Here's a link to the homepage of some people that are working in a sequel. At the moment, they only have done the melee mode, that has lots of new ships. Anybody who wants to create a plot should help, because the ships are already done. http://timewarp.sourceforge.net/

..but that's Timewarp.. people want to do their own mods you know
And I'm sure the people there are very talented to do a mod story by themselves.. after all, they are making a true sequel lets see what they come up with
(I'm looking forward for sequel mods from fans spreads the fun around.. which is what I think Paul and Reiche wanted as they don't have the funding..)

And TimeWarp has a hideous track record for getting anything done. They've been working on a sequel (in many different forms) for a very long time now. Compare that to how fast Aftermath blazed in, and you'll see why people might feel that a fresh start might be in order.

An I would just LOVE to see all the ideas realised. And if at sourceforge some 12 games jump up, all about the continuation of the SC series, maybe one sharp observer from Accolade (and continuation company) might recognize why they should work with TFB for another new version of it.
I grant that getting the ideas is not the most difficult part, but coding the program out of it is.
Enjoy, Krulle
