No Video

So here's my problem.
After full installation, I try running the program. I get the two windows, one with the DOS scroll, but the other has nothing showing inside it. I can hear the sound, and can interact with it, but I don't *see* anything.
I've used the earlier version of UQM on another computer, so I'm quite curious as to what's going on.

Quick checklist for UQM on Windows graphics problems:
- Try running UQM in fullscreen mode. This usually helps.
- If desktop colour depth is 8 bits, UQM will not work in windowed mode. Increase it to 16 or more.
- If OpenGL mode doesn't work, try pure SDL mode and vice versa.
