Melee Speed-Up Glitch
« on: April 18, 2006, 01:55:37 am »

Thanks so much for your work on this game.  This is the best game of all times, and I am playing it for the third time because of you all.  This game hasn't lost it's charm after all these years.

After playing for a while, I made my second big delivery to the earth platform.  After that, every melee battle I get into plays at warp-speed.  I have to turn on Cyborg because there is no way to control it -- the battle only lasts a few seconds.  Is there a way to re-calculate the speed?  It was working fine before, but no amount of quitting and coming back fixes it.  Super Melee works, and so does a new game.  Any ideas?

By the way, PC Gamer published my letter many years back asking why video game companies didn't re-release awesome games like StarCon 2 for modern operating systems.  (They didn't have an answer.)  Thanks for making my wish come true!

Ah -- after reading this post:

I tried changing the Cyborg setting.  Sure enough, that fixed it.  In the original, the Cyborg setting was a toggle, so when I thought I turned it off, I was just changing it to the second setting.

Ah well!  Glad you have this support forum, so I can get back to playing.
