"Hey, that's a good friend of mine! I showed him UQM."

His entire life has become building star control replicas out of Legos and you are proud to have sent him on this road towards total addiction?

Well they are be pretty damn good at least, though like Arne said, more accurate scaling would be cool -- the earthling cruiser looks like it is no longer than several centimeters.

No, he met SC1 before he met me; but I showed him UQM. My SN here is due to the way he signed his emails concerning SC -- Master 999 (SC1-style 'Master' instead of 'Lord'). I of course responded Death 999... and the rest is history.

I see, just don't let your new found fame get to your head. Wink

I wonder how hard it'd be to make SF lego recreations. . .

It depends on how many types of blocks you have. If you have a large variation of them, it's not that hard. I remember I once made a Y-wing and a TIE-fighter from lego blocks. They weren't in the colors you might expect from those fighters, but their shape was more or less correct.

Impossible Mission!  Man, I loved/hated that game and its infernal time limit!  Played it on an IBM 8086 with 4 color CGA graphics.  Have I dated myself?   Embarrassed

Reminded me of 2400 a.d. Robots in charge of the city and all. The only way to get *legally* around the different zones that I found out was by getting a forged pass. If the pass was too old or you didn't had one and a robot caught you, it was time to blast your way out of a mess (or get send to jail).

Don't worry, we're geeks and programmers. For many of
us, we are probably the only dates we can get.
