Man, I miss Ur-Quan. I stumbled on it approx 1 month ago, dived in and finished last week. note: to the walkthrough's "I thank you all". Since then it has been an aimless search for a comparable experience in todays AGP/T&L $400 video card! reality. Which i bought, and I'm old. I've tried some of the games that have been mentioned in this forum. I've downloaded from Cnet till the cows came home. I'm presently liking Orbiter and Starport. I bought Strange Adventures which is ok. I went to Compusa and bought every program that looked like a space role player worth a dam. In essence to quote a John Wayne movie, " I've been everywhere, Done everything! And that's why I know people are sooo miserable!" I have yet to find the program out there that has the humor of Ur-Quan(SC2), DukeNukem, or Blood! You guys are my last hope O-B-Wan!
I would recommend EV Nova, from Ambrosia (http://www.ambrosiasw.com/games/evn/). It's a VERY good action-strategy-RPG game set in space. The only problem it has is that it's shareware .
No wait, Neopets just made my eyes bleed looking at it, sickening satanic demons killing each other with ray guns and candy bars, I should just go to the company and assassinate the creators. I just want to bang my head against a concrete wall after looking at it, you'll see that I even smashed my com over that freaky game which gave me nightmares.
