What can we do for you...today?

If the game were mostly text-based (as it sounds like it is)...I might could hack out something playable in Visual Basic.
A coherent outline of gameplay would be required though.

It's going to be more challenging than that, since you need the ability to generate random play flows dynamically!
I was thinking that the meta-playflow would be maintained: you get to draft one player from each other team in the league, but each team gets to 'protect' two of their players. By seeing what they protect, you get your first hint at what attributes might be important for each position.
This of course requires that the computer be able to figure out, given the random game rules, what attributes are most important for each position!!!!!!
It would be hard to do in the way I envision, at least...
::sigh::
Maybe a starting mockup with the same underlying rules, just flipping around the attributes, can be made. And skip having the draft selection...

I'm not exactly the best programmer, either. It took me days to generate a dice-roller for my pen and paper RPG. (To my credit, the game uses a severely wonky mechanic that is difficult to program. Basically, you roll X dice and add doubles (or triples, and so forth).
Either way, it's the kind of game you should have a complete outline for before starting, stuff like list of all stats, how the game turn progresses, vague estimations of likelihood of various random effects, stuff like that.
As it stands, I have a vague idea of how the game works, but nothing concrete enough to actually give it a shot.

Frungy should be played the same way you play Calvinball.
...make it up as you go along

Love the Calvinball reference.
Well, from the descriptions that the blue guy gave us, (Sport Of kings etc..) I've gotta say that it's pretty much identical to Australian Rules Footy =p

I like the idea of a game that you can't figure out. Kinda like 'fizbin' from Star Trek. The question is, where do you put the 'interface' for tracking your team? Back at the starbase somewhere? (After all, they need a repliable 'address' to send the updates to. You can't expect them to track you down in hyperspace to deliver reports. )

Implement it all in the planet lander window. Then it won't take any time at all.

oh yeah it would take the fun out of the not knowing what frungy is to i love coming up with many thing it can be there is a socer
but what do i care of small they were to late join in the alliance of free stars and we shofixti payed for with the lifes of bilions good Ur Quan kill though lol.
