maybe you should've said "Gill Bates. Our figgest ban!" instead.

How about "Gill Bates. Our faggest bin!"? Or is that too offensive?

Oooooh, Pkunk!

I can't wait to hear the Yehat one. I just love the two Yehat remixes by Rush and Mango, can't wait to hear the Precursor take on it.

The version of pkunk.ogg that was posted initially had a higher bitrate than intended. It has now been replaced by the proper version. If you've already downloaded the ogg, I recommend redownloading.

*wallows in awe*

Forevian, you are one of my new favorite musicians. I didn't much like the mumbly voices in the beginning but oh my god the rest of the music I cower before its amazingness. And the guitar at the end is just, like, the best thing in the history of ever. And the Supox is just killer through the whole thing and I don't know how you got such good music out of the Zoq-Fot-Pik theme.

Now we're at the subject of heaping praise on the UQM remixers, I think I should probably mention that I recently checked out Precursor MarkVera / Jouni Airaksinen's page at mikseri.net, and was completely awestruck at the "Control the Stars" song. That was just great. I haven't really been listening much to electronic music since my days as an Amiga demo scene hangaround (I'm mostly a metal person), but that song was just great. So great, in fact, that I grabbed a bunch of tunes from that page (both old game remixes and original songs) and found that there's still electronic music around that I appreciate. Thanks.

Pkunk: It's how remixes are done. Wink

Excellent work as always. Is it wrong to be looking forward to next Friday already?

I like it. I really liked the original, and this is a nice update which didn't screw around with a good formula.

I do think the voice that comes in at 1:42 is underbalanced. It was more pronounced in the original, and it has some interesting stuff going on, why not let it stand out more?

Also, the sudden inclusion of the electric guitar at the end was kind of odd; but that's okay.

Whoopdy Dee and Trolly Bazoo! The Pkunk mix is here, and it's... cute. A bit overloaded with different instruments (at least in comparison to the somewhat minimalistic original MOD), but cute and instantly recognisable and very... Pkunky. Or should that be Pkunkish?

I've always been scared of the Pkunk.. (on and off the battlefield) they just creep me out. Their ships give good R.U. though Cheesy

This makes them EVEN MORE CREEPY (I'm strange I know)! But it's a fantastic remix Tongue

Lord, Precursors did as much as they could for the Pkunk/Orz themes, but nothing you can do can make it any more than the Pkunk/Orz themes.  Only a complete musical rewrite can fix that. So far the Supox and Starbase themes are two the most awesomely improved tunes I've heard so far. Cheesy
