Never had any problems with that. Awesome computers were absolutely no problem with the Blade, but Humans. After a while they stop chasing you, then it becomes mroe difficult to stay at the rigth distance to take the ZapStats out.

Androsynth. That ship beats almost every ship. Bubble all over. If you are lucky, all the zap sats go boom. Then you charge your batteries and go into blazer mode and target to the side of the Chmmr, where you can fly to, getting stuck, and giving MASSIVE amount of damage in one mere second!
Druuge makes it dead. If the Chmmr starts pulling, waste your crew to ammunition and fire as long as you can, 'coz you don't want to get in that laser!
Slylandro Probe. A *very* tough job, I haven't ever done it (takes patience and a long time), but I've noticed it's highly possible.

I was playing a buncha SuperMelee versus the computer last night, the only ship I was really able to take the Chmmr down easily with was the Thraddash Torch. Of course, this wouldn't work on a human player at all.
