About the "time limit"-issue...

Many people complain, that in Ur-Quan-Masters you are not warned of the time limit very well, because there is no spoken text for this.

Isn't this problem solved by simply turning the subtitles on?

Nope, the Melnorme warning about the time limit (the Metachron story) is missing from UQM in order to match the 3DO version.

See bug 327 for discussion about missing dialogue.
