i know theres a way to ally with them just for got how ill grab the helix later

ok just as i thought back to the starbase for some "upgrades" b4 that ill get the portal spawner then it looks like im going to have to go on a killing spree

You'll need to distract them or kill them all off. I usually kill them all off with the Dill-rats. I think the universe is just better this way.
From what I understand, you can also grab the helix while they are off to fight the Kohr-Ah ... a suggestion you give to them to impress the Ur-Quan. While they are away, I've read that there are no longer infinite ships guarding the helix. I think someone said 10. I never do it this way. I prefer facing no ships (I mean, you beat on these guys enough as it is) and two galactic nusiances eliminated at once.

But you have to admit, it's an expensive and satisfying way to gather up some easy RU. Especially if you have guidance modules installed, which isn't by any means necessary.

Fun fact: Set the game to Cyborg++ and use the Arilou. They will pretty much never lose to the Thraddash. You'll be done in minutes.
