Too many ships

Help, im at Beta Krueger. I need to leave that place but theres 3 Ilwrath vessels outside waiting. And if i use emergency warp drive, more n more comes, if i destroy them, say a few times, they keep coming, giving me no chance of even moving my ship. Is this a bug or what?

Nah, just sadistic game design. If you have some other way to escape than HyperSpace, use it. If not, your only real chance is to fight it out (or load an older saved game).
