Back on topic, eh?

A "Filth Alliance" eh? Would that happen to include the Veer-Kerezy, Mael-Num, or any surviving Yuptar?

While the idea of some of the old Milleu races returning after millennia to seek their vengeance is an intriguing one, the former two would likely not take part, seeing as how it has been confirmed that the Mael-Num and Melnorme are one and the same. Incidentally, they're also the only Milleu race (save the Ur Quan themselves) to avoid extermination or enslavement at the hands of the Ur Quan.

Practically speaking, under the current mechanics of the game this sort of thing would be very difficult to implement unless the "filth" decided to standardize under a single ship design (which I feel would completely eliminate any kind of impact the idea may have originally had). I suppose you could have the game randomly select any of a bunch of different ships or something... Not really sure.

The Kohr-ah refer to the Mael-Num as one-eyed creatures that escaped their warpath. The Melnorme know a lot about the history from that time.

Not quite. The Mael-Num are ancestors of the Melnorme.

I was thinking it would be ran by a few prominent races.  They would most likely be the founders of the alliance, because they would have had more time to build up their forces. So you would have like 5 primary races that comprise this alliance and a whole lot of other races that are there in a support role. The races that had ships with advance technology would have their ships reversed engineered and used to improve the fleet.
I was also thinking that if they arrived and found no ur-quan to destroy they would turn on those who deprived them off their revenge.

Another idea is that they are like the Borg from star trek:

We are the Filth. Lower your shields and surrender your ships. We will add your biological and technological dirtiness to our own. Your culture will adapt to service us. Resistance is futile.

Perhaps the milieu and alliance races unite to fight against the orz "collective." Basically, the Orz have a number of "finger" races equal to that of the milieu/alliance, thus creating a newer, larger SC1 type environment. Throw the precursors in at some point as helpers to the alliance or orz zombies, or both.

TFB did hint in one of the chats that the sequel had been planned to give the Orz "a more ominous role" with the return of the Precursors.

Well, in the NON FAN APPROVED SC3, the Orz were just semi-Physical projections of the "Eternal Ones". And, I have proof of this, as I have actually played UQM enough to actually understand the Orzeze gibberish, which is mostly intellectual metaphors. this statement " You think you see Orz as *light reflections* but it is not so. You *silly campers*, you must also think that Orz are *many bubbles*.It is not so, Orz are just Orz. I am *Fingers*. I am one of many *fingers*", completely translates into "You believe that we exist in your dimension, but we don't. You Half-witted puppets must also think that we are composed of your primitive 'Molecular Systems', which we also aren't. We are just the Orz. What you see presented before you is an illusion and only a fraction of what our true being is. I am one of many illusions.". yes, maybe I have played it a little too much...

I took "orz are only *fingers*" to mean that the orz beings are really just projections of one large Orz entity that exits in *heavy space*.

The seperate, 3d entities we see would be akin to us putting our own fingers into a flatland world. The flatlanders would see five seperate, autonomous discs instead of real fingers.

lets just leave it as:

Quote
Androsynth are not here. Orz are here.
You are not the same too much like Androsynth. You are *happy campers*.
Do you want to see our surprising toys*? No!! Do Not!!
Androsynth are so silly. We do not *tell stories* a lot about them.
No more Androsynth stories.

Eh, maybe later I'll post a thread that presents my translations of Orzeze...yes, I have almost completely translated the gaps.
