Disabling sticky keys with no AO...
« on: February 23, 2006, 07:16:44 pm »

My version of windows xp apparently doesnt have accessibility options.  Is there any other way to disable 'sticky keys' without having to do it thru accessibility options?

keep hitting shift multiple times (outside of uqm) so the dialog comes up and it asks you if you want to change the settings...
the rest is self explanatory

Yeah, I tried that but whenever I hit the 'settings' button the dialogue box simply disappears completely and Im brought right back to square one.

Im guessing the box disappears because its trying to access accessability options and my version of windows doesnt have it.

Wierd huh.

If you don't have Accessibility Options, I'm kind of surprised you get to have StickyKeys at all.

1. buy an authorized version of windows, or
2. get a pirated version that works, or
3. use google to find what I have in 5 min:
Quote
Disable all the stupid accessibility keys for good by importing these registry settings...

;----------------------------------
Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

;Disable Sticky Keys
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Accessibility\StickyKeys]
"Flags"="506"

;Disable Filter Keys
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Accessibility\Keyboard Response]
"Flags"="122"

;Disable Toggle Keys
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Accessibility\ToggleKeys]
"Flags"="58"
;-------------------------------------

Or download it here:

then of course there's the "get linux" "get a Mac" etc... Tongue
