There are several ways to override the music:
  • Add Ogg Vorbis or MOD files to the content directory with paths corresponding to the files in the main or 3DO music ZIP you want to override. Quick and dirty.
  • Construct an addon package (a ZIP) containing the replacement music (in the same way as the original content package). This is the technique used by the Precursors for their remix packs and the most flexible solution.
  • Replace the files in the content ZIP directly. Not a good idea if the main content changes.
See the UQM content management page on the wiki for details.
