Umgah Homeworld chat and attacks

I visited the Umgah homeworld and got the "pet". Immediately i return and then chat with the umgah. Conversation goes well AFAICS but in the end they offer me drones (i am full) and the next thing are an endless stream of drones attacking me. I maybe killed 50 or more when finally all my crew is dead. Bug?

No, that's not a bug at all. It's just that your fleet is not quite up to the task of destroying an entire homeworld defence fleet. You'd probably be wise to just run away.

Nope, you just didn't pay attention to the conversation. That was a "joke" they played on you.

You know, Great Hero... I getting this funny feeling. Would like to know what feeling is? Good, I tell you. My feeling that Great Hero stuff... well, boring... not funny at all. You only say HAIL! HAIL! HAIL! so many times before starts to lose appeal so instituting slight deviation in course of our relationship.
Specifically, instead of being dull and lifeless Great Hero you now glamorous and exciting... Great Enemy!
We give you some Drone ships to make even more interesting! Yes! This going to be LOTS more fun!

yes, i see now.
i followed the conversation not correctly. I never evaded a combat before so i didn't think of it. And on arrival i see no armada like in other cases, so i didn't think that i was fighting one.

Yep usually the general rule is homeworld = infinite number of ships.

The bad news is the Umgah homeworld is the exception...
when you go to pick up the talking pet. Once you
get the pet, they have *many* ships.
