Er, I think the story is a tad different from how the game mechanics ended up turning out in Spathi vs Ur-Quan matches. Fwiffo may have been a killing machine, but I doubt the Spathi would stand much of a chance against the Ur-Quan as a whole.

I find it more plausible that the Spathi would all suddenly die due to heart-equivalent attack related causes.

This had better happen before the events of SC2, because there is no way they would beat the Chmmr.
The spathi are great against many of the most expensive ships, but not all ships.

There are ships that have weaknesses, but few weaknesses are as totally lopsided as Spathi vs. Chmmr. Only Earthling vs. Chmmr and Arliou vs. Chmmr come close.
I mean, if it was the Druuge we were talking up here, then Earthlings are pretty strong against them, and would be a problem, but it's not a showstopper.
As for Spathi battle-thralls, hmm... who would they start with? Umgah? Okay, who does that help them with? Earthlings, I guess. Okay, we're getting somewhere.
Okay, then... is there ANY race which could NOT do this, that is, leverage power over the races it's strong against to take the place over?

1rst of all Conquering galaxy with Shofixty scouts would be easy. One no limit in crew considering how fast they populate. 2 thiers practically no limit of Scouts u can come out with, considering they so cheap. And most ships are blasted with just 1 glory device activated. Few need 2. Sometimes a Ur-Qaun or a Kohr-ah can get a lucky shot and kill the scout from a distance though. But rarely.
2nd of all. You guys are talking about the Spathi eluder like they wont improve the ship. They are geniouses when they need to be. When being chased by the Evil Ones they advanced from stone to Atomic age, In what 2 centurys? If they decided to start conquering they would probably come out with a ship 3 times as powerful as a Chmmr ship. Somewhere within a decade of the war. Especially if they could get thier hands on Ur-Quan tech when they conquer them.
