Hi there,
as you may have read, I've got some minor... well: major problems starting up the game. I installed it this morning, configured it in-game and played for some hours, everythink worked just fine. But after leaving the game, it wouldn't start again. I tried to recompile and randomly 'sh' the files, but it didn't help. I deleted everything and reinstalled, particularly paying attention not to do ANYTHING that might disturb the progress. I started uqm once, didn't change anything and quit. I restarted to try out: Still working then. I did the configuration, saved and closed. It wouldn't start . It should have something to do with the configuration. How do I get everything back to standard? I hope it will work then.
Thanks for help

Assuming you did the reinstall properly, your UQM configuration is probably messed up like you say.
Based on the reference to "sh", I'm assuming you're on Unix. The ~/.uqm directory contains the configuration for UQM; if you delete that, all settings and saved games will be removed and default settings recreated next time you start UQM. If you want to keep your saved games, take a look inside ~/.uqm and delete the other configuration files.
Alternatively, you could try opening the UQM configuration files in a text editor and correcting the invalid setting that is causing UQM to fail to start. The console output from UQM should tell you what the problem is.

Sorry, I forgot to tell: I'm using xubuntu Linux. Game started after I deleted the ".uqm" folder. I Did the settings more careful this time and it still works fine, thanks a lot! One problem is still occurring: I copied the remix zips to the "/content/packages/addons/uqmremix" folder (I created "addons" and "uqmremix") and added "--addon uqmremix" to the command line but the terminal keeps telling me that the folder /packages/addons does not exist. Is this a widely known problem? Google didn't help me with that
