Passive Sa-Matra
« on: June 18, 2006, 06:14:00 am »

Okay, someone needs to make a mod where the Sa-Matra doesn't have that solid rock barrier around it and flies and fights like a normal ship with 1,000-2,500 hull strength. That would be so tight if you could fight the Sa-Matra while its active. The plot explanation for this could be the Ur-Quan simply can't get the ship online fast enough when you show up at Delta Crateris to kill you with its long-range attack and it isn't quite as godly up close. It would have to be a very clever fight to keep the ship from getting eaten up by one Utwig that shields well or an Arilou that teleports perfectly.

That's easy, long ranged beam weapons would do the trick.

Maybe the Sa-Matra could have a secondary mode like a tractor beam, launch fighters.

It's a lot of work, and it would be amazing if someone could pull it off...
