want to get map data
« on: July 23, 2006, 05:40:07 am »

I'm fooling around with trying to put together a sc1 remake (more like a sc2 prequel).   The only thing I can garuntee about it is that my ambitions are small.

Anyhow, I'm wondering if anyone has put together the map data.  Ie. number of planets in a system, types of planets, num of moons.  I think it should be possible to extract the data from somewheres.  There was even someone makeing some databases that I saw in the forums.

Can someone point me in the right direction if they know if this exists?

I just thought it would be cooler to have the actual SC2 planet data for some of the campaigns I want to make.

Yes, plenty has been said about this in past board threads. Just a few days ago there was someone asking about this. You can get the data you want from here (automatically extracted from the source).
