In the old days, like '94-'95 when i was playing the original SC2 for fun i was replacing the earthling ship datafile with another one. Any hints on how this can be done now?

Thanks.

The .uqm files are actually .zip files. The ship files are still there and if you extract one and give it the name of an other, and put it directly in the content/ dir, you can achieve the same thing.
Unzipped files override files in the .uqm files.

I tried swapping an Earthling ship for a Ur-Quan once.
I didn't play the game through, but it was fun for a while.
