...there is a real fan base out there for Star Control and they are not going to dissappear or die or just get very, very lost.

TFB has a new post on their news page.  They mention Star Control.  Check it out...

I don't know for sure if we're ever going to be able to make one.  Because that would require seeing into the future.

The hope is that after we finish our current project, Tony Hawk's Downhill Jam, we can propose doing a Star Control sequel next.

Well, it's not really-bad news; just that they're not 100% certain whether they will make this game at the moment.  He still has a good positive attitude towards Star Control, which is still good.

As long as those e-mails keep sending, and the Internet continues to go nuts over a new Star Control.  Some publicity stunts would be nice too...  Grin

Hmm from what I've read it seems that they have good news! Well, that is to say, they have no news.
But it is good news.
Hmmmmm.
This is your expression, human Captain. We Pkunk do not pretend to understand it.

I remain convinced that I may have to turn Activision's studios into a parking lot.

The Kohr-Ah are flawed.  They must die.
If you follow the Kohr-Ah, you should make whatever final preparations are preferential to your species.  You have three of your "minute" time intervals to do so.

Typical Kohr-Ah reaction. The real problem is that TFB doesn't have official Frungy endorsements.

And that is another motivator for allowing TFB to make a new Star Control game; they will become a victim of the Eternal Doctrine if they do not allow a new Star Control to be released.

Perhaps some Mycon can turn their headquarters into a "Shattered Headquarters"...

That's it! I'm calling for a reinstatement of the Doctrinal Conflict! Logic tells us that simple enslavement under an impenetrable shield would be far more efficient towards getting the title released (as they can work on that, and only that, underneath their new red sky), as well as serving as a potent reminder to other studios what happens when they defy the will of the Ur-Quan.

Actually, re-read that post. It looks worrying, they don't seem interested in the Tony Hawk one, or have run out of inspiration (I refer to the bit with adding Tony Hawk in with sunglasses, it hints to me that they aren't feeling too great about it), maybe to boost morale they should add a Spathi or something as an unlockable character, to make more people know about the great game Cheesy.

Heh, yeah, throwing in some SC2 characters as hidden characters would be awesome. (A Thraddash with an afterburner on his board, perhaps?) Besides, Activision usually includes hidden characters from other games/comics in the THPS games.
