Addons on Mac

I'm trying to load the Precursor's Remixes, but when I run the command from the directory with the actual executable, like so (complete with the error):
$ ./The\ Ur-Quan\ Masters --addon uqmremixes
The Ur-Quan Masters v0.5.0 (compiled Feb 11 2006 08:58:04)
This software comes with ABSOLUTELY NO WARRANTY;
for details see the included 'COPYING' file.

Initializing base SDL functionality.
Using SDL version 1.2.8 (compiled with 1.2. Cool

Fatal error: Could not find content.

I put the remixes in the subdirectory addons/uqmremixes/ as per the instructions and the FAQ, but either I'm doing something wrong or there's something I'm missing. Any pointers?

You'll get that message when it can't find the main content. Chances are that when you start it normally (and I don't know much about the MacOS release) it passes --contentdir as another argument. You'd need to do the same thing if you don't start it through the shortcut icon.
