Save state editor.

Hey guys, do you know of a Ur-quan masters save state editor? I remember using one a wile back...but I forgot it's name and it's no longer on my HD. So, which ones are out there?

ekhmm? You mean save game editor? Don't you? I have 3 save games editors:
"UQM savegame editor"
"Hexed"
"Winhex"
Two last are little more difficult (only a little), but have much more options.
I could send you one of them on e-mail.

A save game editor allows you to alter aspects of your game. In short,
it changes the save game file to give you more crew or resources or
ships, etc. Basically, it's cheating, but it can be useful for testing
purposes.

Ah.  That makes sense, and is painfully obvious now that it's been explained to me.  Thanks much.  I'll have to check it out, as I've been wanting to do some extra stuff around Groombridge and the rainbow worlds, but lost my old saves when I did a system restore on my hard drive.

Basically, I wanted to follow the arrow off the edge of the universe map.  Has anyone ever tried something like this?  What happens?  Do you loop around to the westernmost part of the map, or run into an invisible wall?  Or is it something completely different?
