Hey, let's not force our beliefs on the Chinese, now. They don't force their calendar beliefs down our throat, let's due them the courtesy of returning the favor. By the way, is it a coincidence that the year of the Dragon is the year 2000? I seriously find myself doubting it. Very much. Conspiracy is at hand.
Don't forget the people who died to name your year. [Juli]us Caesar starved thousands of Gauls and conquered Britain. [August]us was a diseased old man who spread propaganda through the streets and sent assassins everywhere. Without these dudes, we would have been celebrating New Year's two months ago.
Back in those days, when you claimed your year had seemed longer than ever before, it wasn't just a saying.
Yay, the New Year has come. and I am much relieved, since nothing bad has happened. I was so worried that the Y2K7 bug would destroy the world, but since I’m still here, my house is still here, my internet is still here then the rest of the world is probably still here, but if its not then it hasn’t affected me yet! And that’s the only thing that matters: my comfort level.
