Slylandro problem

How do you get rid of the Slylandro? I think i am almost at the point where whenever I go to Hyperspace, they are there. They are starting to appear inside systems.

SPOILER ALERT!!!!

Get information from the Melnorme, under one of the 3 information topics, I think early on, I may be mistaken, the Melnorme will tell you the Slylandro's home world (or if you have an actual Star Control II Manual, all species homeworlds are listed, but I'll assume you don't) as the source of the probes and to talk to them.

If you know the homeworld of the Slylandro, then go there and talk about their probes for awhile, and eventually they'll notice their mistake and give you an easy way to take care of all those probes.

The Slylandro are REALLY far away, too, so bring lots of fuel/credits.

Really far unless you have a Quasi Space Portal Spawner, then they are much closer if you know which portal to take, hehe...
