I am having an issue with getting the game running.
« on: January 22, 2007, 08:34:55 am »

I loaded the game, and when I set up the options I accidentally chose openAL for my video card, now when I go to start the game it just gives me an error saying that no sound card is detected because of my openAL settings and suggests I change my settings. Problem is, the only way I know to change the settings is by starting up the game again. Can anyone help me change my settings? I have uninstalled the game and re-downloaded it, but the settings remained.

Delete or edit your configuration file. See the UQM technical FAQ for information on how to find it.

BTW, OpenGL is a graphics library while OpenAL is an audio library. I don't think your video card does OpenAL, but it probably does OpenGL.

You can also override sound settings with commandline options:

uqm --sound=mixsdl

Will restore original behavior, and visiting and leaving the setup menu will preserve the changes.
