A while back I remember hearing that TFB was working on a medieval/fantasy game that they said SC2 fans would really like. Can anyone tell me anything more?

I remember there was a game being made where aliens were rampaging through the landscape that got scrapped for having NY as a backdrop....was that it ?

The game was called "The Horde"

Medieval setting.
The evil horde (red demon thingies) were rampaging through the countryside devouring every creature in sight, you had to fortify towns and fight off waves of horde creatures.

Was a pretty cool game actually.

I believe the game in question was called "The Unholy War". If I recall correctly, "the Horde" was an easy project that TFB worked on to cool off after working feverishly (much to our benefit) on Star Control II. I'm not sure, but I think it was for PlayStation only.

Nope, none of those.. this was recent. It wasn't released, I just heard they were working on it.

It was probably the Alien Invasion game or Sterilizer...

Yeah, 'cause 'Unholy War' came out....I bought that one not even knowing who did it :-P  Good game, though - I really got into using the 'Jaeger' units.

To try and keep my post on topic, I'm fairly certain that the Unholy War is not the game Scott is looking for.   But the Unholy War is mucho fun... Single player is kind of like Sci-Fi Battlechess  Cool  There are some great races in that game, would love to see some of them make it into a Star Control game.  Heck, maybe the Unholy War happened in another quadrant of the galaxy  Grin
