Why don't all races have point defense lasers?

Hey, does anybody remember a Star Control melee tactics page called "This is how you *dance*" or something to that effect? It was a very thorough site and review of melee and at the end concluded what the best ships were, I believe saying that the Kohr-Ah was the best... I searched for this site but it is down, and don't have the old URL so I can't use the wayback machine...
If anyone could provide the url of this site or if they have a saved copy, that would be cool.

Was that the tactics page that had the "Really Mean 5" (Khor-Ah, Ur-Quan, Yehat, Utwig, Orz (I think))?
If so, I've been looking for that page too. It had some good tips with ship vs. ship specific tactics.

Angus: Yes, that is the same page. I'm not sure if the ur-quan made the list, though. My guess is it was the chmmr instead. Definitely Orz and utwig were on there... It seemed in general that the guy who wrote it really knew what he was talking about, and that his ship evaluations were true for PvP instead of just vs. AI.

You're right: the Chmmr was definitely on that list.
And that guy definitely knew what he was talking about. I'd say I agree with about 95% of what was on that page. Really good stuff.
There were some great post-battle stories posted on there too. I remember one he was talking about how he (or his friend, I cant remember) shot and killed 3 Orz Marines with a VUX (!) in an epic battle. Normally, I'd have a hard time believing that, but by reading the strategies on the web page, I could tell this guy was good enough to pull something like that off.
Ahh, if only I could find it again. It's really a good read!
