http://starcontrol.classicgaming.gamespy.com/history/preiche.shtml In regards to the Groombridge alien encounter art - is there a way to get it? And about the trademarks - I thought that Accolade (now Infogrames) only has trademark to the name Star Control, not anything else, not? Then why can't FF&PR3 make an SC3 by other name, simply - say UQM2?

I think that they CAN make another game, hence the emails/letters and whatnot. They just need to pursuade Activision to fund the project. Games cost a lot of money to make these days.

I wonder if Bill Gates has the time for such a frivilous time-wasting romp. I reckon he'd like the game. Of course he'd have to prioritise above making lotsa money, fixing Vista bugs and giving drugs to sick poor kids

Well, yeah, he isn't going to fund SCtrue3.
But what about the Groombridge Gods (=FF&PR3) encounter art?

Would you really want Bill Gates involved with a Star Control game? That sort of dooms it to be a PC / 360 exclusive, not to mention that it would probably never finish being patched of all its bugs.

Microsoft is meant to make money, not programs.

Almost how I imagined. Very comical indeed. If I were more skilled in programming I would have made a Groombridge mod.
