I'm having problems with the new UQM 0.6.2. I haven't had the time to play any of it for more than five minutes, but I noticed that the music sounds jerky.
Based on your next problem, the problem may be that you're using the original music where you've previously had the remixes (or vice versa). Another possibility is that something is wrong with your sound settings and/or sound driver. If you're using OpenAL for sound, switch to MixSDL (in the setup menu).
also, when I talked to Commander Hayes, there was no voice. He even said "Welcome back, Captain Zelnick," Like he would never normally do... What's up with that?
Speech is turned off or missing. This allows the game to use your name and that of the flagship; the dialogue changes slightly in a few other ways if you have speech turned off (e.g. Slylandro Probes occasionally output something very informative). Did you install the 3DO voice pack? If you did, make sure that speech volume is non-zero.
And what is with the little net button on Super Melee?
