3D Models

Hello,

I found neat Star Control 3D models at: http://starcontrol.classicgaming.gamespy.com/sc3d/

Unfortunately most of the are in .max format, which is an Autodesk 3ds Max propriety file format, and very expensive to purchase. Does anyone have the means to convert them into .3ds, .obj, or any other open file format? I would like to view them in Blender or MilkShape.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Mason

Hey, if you ever get this figured out let me know.  I'm also interested in getting these models.

You know, for the time it'll take to figure out how to convert them you could model your own. Just sayin, is all.

I've modelled a couple and it takes 3+ hours per model for me... And mine still aren't that good.
