Sylandro drone trouble
« on: May 07, 2007, 11:58:53 pm »

I really don't mind having these guys around, as it gives me lots of resources, but it is getting to be annoying.  Can anyone tell me the exact coordinates for the Sylandro base/planet?  It would be greatly appreciated!

Giving you the coordinates out of the blue takes the fun completely out of it. And they are probes, not drones.

Melnorme can sell you the information and Zoq-Fot-Pik can give a good clue.

The Arilou can also give you a very general hint, and the Thraddash can point you in the right direction.

Gab with the probes frequently enough (instead of blowing them out of the sky on sight), and they'll give you a major clue as well.

More exactly, try this funny thing: The probes want you to transmit data about yourself. Well, what happens if you do?

I have written down the areas the drones/probes described for me, and I realize it is somewhere in that area.  I just can't get there without a lot of trouble finding out which one of those planets are the correct one.  I am rapidly losing interest, please just psot the coordinates so I can get along with the story! Areas? The co-ordinates the probes give you are all for the same planet. Figuring out why the co-ordinates are different every time is left as an exercise for the player (and is going to be a lot more satisfying than being told exactly where to look).

Well I get the coordinates and then I used the starmap to move down, and I know its in that cluster of planets, I just don't know which one, and even if I did, I still need to know which planet and/or moon it is on.

Sweet Zombie Jesus, you've already been told where to go.  Why are we still talking about this?

hold on here. I think you went the wrong way. What were those coordinates? Where were you when you heard them? Exactly?

Hint: The probes use a different coordinate system. You need to listen to their coordinates more than once to figure out what their coordinates translate to.
