This sounds great, but...at the risk of sounding like a complete and total Thraddash...how do I use it?
See The Ur-Quan Masters Technical FAQ.
(You're right about the Thraddash, I feared the same thing.)

That mp3 was alright, his natural voice works, but I guess you made it too deep
Good, I won't shifting the pitch anymore. A new version will soon be posted.

Another thing I noticed, he sounds very normal. Not sad, or withdrawn, or forlorn or anythin, which he prolly should, since hes Utwig.
This should only be a problem before getting the Ultron back; if this annoys you, you can use the "Happy-After-Ultron" version.

I only listed to a couple of your smaller files, but the voice sounds okay. However the production doesn't sound too flash. Its a bit crackly or something. I dont think i'd ever replace the original, but if i did i'd want the crackliness to go away.
You mean the buzzing which appears from time to time? I think it's the result of reducing the pitch, it goes away if I don't do that.
Or perhaps you are referring to the ring modulation? If it doesn't sound good, it means that I should try another waveform.
Or maybe it's because of the equalizer. It doesn't sound good without pitch shifting anyway.

Sounds really good to me. Well done!

I did come across one issue, though: After the captain says "Hmm, sounds like things were going pretty well. So what happened?", the voice and the text no longer sync up. Half way through the response, the voice the voice loops back into an earlier part of the conversation.

Otherwise, I really like this and think it's a nice improvement.

Soo... we'll call it Version 0.1.0.  If that's my fault, Valaggar, just e-mail me, and I will re-do it.
Can you tell us which one it was, or what it started with?

Yes... this is bug 999: the Utwig can't use speech files with more than 4,320,000 samples. To circumvent this, I've reduced the sample rate where it was needed, but utwig033.ogg was modified afterwards by me (I had to introduce some missing lines) and probably I've messed the sample rate. I'll be fixing this in no time - the problem is in the UQM code, the speech file has no problem.

EDIT: Fixed.

Does the page usually load slowly, or is it having issues?

(not an insult or anything, I'd just like to know if I sould wait for it to load or not)

EDIT: nevermind... ;>.>

I hate the original Utwig voice, too, by the way.  It's not just you, Vallager.  And like Shiver, I usually turn the voices off anyway.  When I played the PC version, for some reason we didn't have sound on our computer.  I imagined the voices as much better than they actually were, and thank goodness for that.  The dialogue is a lot funnier when you read it yourself.

Well, let's just shut up with these complaints about voices. Before meep-eep locks this thread.
It seems that they annoy a lot of people, and anyway we can't get any good outcome by complaining.

EDIT: Bjwaymods.net is down for too long. I'll re-upload the voicepack in another place and try to fix that annoying clip-like beeping that occurs in some places.

I'm sorry for cross-posting, but I just want to announce you that I'm simply exasperated by the production defects of this voicepack and have renounced working at it.
And I don't hate the original voice anymore (probably as a result of the aforementioned exasperation).
Thread locked.

EDIT: Re-uploaded with a different effect set and no defects here.
Thread unlocked.
