I would say that someone who is born deaf can't fully enjoy music, but most deaf people can feel the music - (bass/rhythm) and they seem to enjoy that well enough...they at least experience a part of it. I used to go to this club downtown where a lot of deaf people would go - the music would be abnormally heavy on the bass and the deaf crowd would be dancing to the rhythm.
One of my all time favorites is Simon & Garfunkel...I also like this new song by Plain White T's called Hey there Delilah. Mazzy Star, jazz, blues, oh yeah and Gorillaz are good. Hmmm...REM was at the top of my list for a long while and Red Hot Chili Peppers. I guess for the most part I'll listen to just about anything - Although, most 80's music makes me feel ill and pretty much anything by Josh Groban, Celine Dion, Barbara Streisand, and Bette Midler really blows me.

Hypothetically speaking, if doctors could cure all deafness, I'd bet 99.99999~% of deaf people would enjoy some sort of music if they didn't already.
Also I' am a little more diversified in musical taste than the previous post would suggest. Although I do tend toward dark, heavy and bluesy music ,I do like alot of pop, rock, modern country. Not much into classical or jazz except on occasion. And just can't seem to get into Blue Grass , Hip Hop, Rap or Yodelling at all.
Greatest song ever:

I knew RTyp06 had to have some opinion I could agree with (to some extent, at least).
I was half expecting that link to lead here.
