What music do you like!

Here’s an unusual post – this will knock you all out of your comfort zone.

Everyone likes music. What are you top ten musical acts/performers/bands/composers?

Here are mine (at the moment) – you’ll notice that they are all Anglo-American mainstream rock bands. Hopefully some others out there have a more diverse taste in music. I expect to see prominent New Guinea skull knockers and Pervuvian whistle blowers listed. Oh, and of course, being the UQM community, crazy Finnish death metal bands!

List of examples of things I listen to, ordered by my feeling of heavyness: (and comments, yay!)

Behemoth - awesome polish blackened death metal
Vader - polish death metal
Sepultura - um... well... you had to have at least heard of them..
Cynicism - er.. http://www.jamendo.com/en/artist/cynicism/
In Flames - melodic death metal
Amon Amarth - melodic death metal
Haggard - symphonic metal
System of a Down - um.. if you tell me what this thing actually is.. (no hypnotize nor memzerize)
Judas Priest - you should have heard of it..
Blind Guardian - quite a poptular power metal band
Mike Oldfield - mostly instrumental stuff like Tubular Bells or Amarok
B.B. King - blues

My taste in music varies a lot with mood and such. For example, at the time I started writing this:

Playing: David Lowe - BBC News Countdown (extended mix)
Next: Rob Hubbard/DJ Mitch - The Human Race (Pop Goes Classics)

However, tomorrow I could, for example, be listening to Lordi - The Arockalypse followed by Frank Klepacki - Command & Conquer: Sole Survivor.

Best game music? Out of what I've played, these games had the best music:
- Fish Fillets (cross-platform)
- World to Conquer (mac/windows)
- Odyssey: the legend of Nemesis (mac only)

My mp3 player is full of game music as well, not excluding the SC remixes of course. But also some Zelda music, Emperor: Battle for Dune and Beyond Good and Evil .

Uh no that isn't false.. Music is alot like religion, it my be influenced by culture and personality etc. but everyone likes some sort of music . Just as every culture and every person has religious views. (Yes athieism is religion as it serves the same purpose imo.)
