And don't derail the damn thread. You can't definitely say people like or don't like music.
Ten of my favourites, with soundtracks where appropriate;
Frank Klepacki (Command & Conquer Tiberian Dawn through to Red Alert 2) Jeremy Soule (TA, WHM40k: DoW/WA/DC, SupCom, etc.) Machinae Supremacy Jon Hallur (EvE Online) Bill Brown (Generals / Zero Hour) Steve Jablonsky/Trevor Morris (Command & Conquer 3: Tiberium Wars) Harry Gregson-Williams (Metal Gear Solid 2) Toshikazu Tanaka (Metal Slug 3/4/5) David Bergeaud (Ratchet & Clank series) Holst (Planets Suite)

Saying everyone likes music is somewhat akin to saying everyone likes sports. Except the difference being that perhaps 98.5% of people like music so it’s easier to get away with the generalisation (whereas maybe only 65% of people like sports).
As for Holst’s Planets – that’s a masterpiece. Would be one of my favourite classical works.

I need to go with RTyp06 on this.
Everyone gets goose bumps from some type of music whether or not they’re willing to admit it. I am also noticing a trend that certain people are trying to hard to be incongruous. I hear: “I’m too deep for the likes of you man!” Bullshit! I won’t name any names but….. I remember joining in a philosophical conversation in arena one day; and the subject of perception came up. I chimed in with the KNOWN POINT that, while we can’t be SURE of another’s existence, we can be sure of our own. It is a simple philosophical constant brought about by empirical evidence. “When I look at a mirror, I know someone is looking back at me. ME!” This universal truth seemed too much for one of our more intelligent members to understand.
Ridicule is the favorite weapon of fools. Pay them no mind.

Amiga, if you would just apply that same philosphical constant to the music debate then you would realise that only YOU know if you like musuc, you can't possibly know if others do or not.

That would be a good point, if only it were true.

You know EP; I don't think you're qualified to make that determination. LOL! This coming from King of ridicule himself!

ALRIGHT! I suppose there are perhaps a few people in the world somewhere that don’t like music, never have and never will; although I have trouble imagining it. Just like I have trouble imagining anyone else here admitting the possibility of being wrong.

Well done!
I seem to recall something about modern death people getting advanced hearing aids than can be operated into the ear (confirm/deny?), but without one of those it'd be very hard. Still, I suppose they could feel deep bass. They probably all love R&B.
EDIT: To have at least some relevance to the original topic, I suppose I should talk about what music I like. Unfortunately that won't help much, because I'm pretty omnivorous when it comes to music. Unlike a lot of people I know, I have no trouble listening to and enjoying most of todays pop music, but I also enjoy all sorts of jazz, blues, classical and so forth. Pretty much the only thing I don't like is really really heavy Death Metal.
