I just noticed that the PackMan repository now carries UQM 0.62 packages for SuSE 10.0 and 10.1 and openSUSE 10.2 for i586 and x86_64. List of PackMan mirrors here; the installation repositories are in suse/<version> under the PackMan mirror root (for SuSE version <version>).
The binary package is "uqm", which requires main content "uqm-data" and optionally uses "uqm-data-music" and "uqm-data-voice" (3DO music and voice respectively). "uqm-tools" contains the UQM keyboard test program.
This makes installing UQM under OpenSUSE much easier, as you don't need to compile anything or sort out dependencies if you use YaST.
