You can collect data on alien lifeforms on various planets throughout the Quadrant. However, some of the stars that are richer in lifeforms are:

Gamma Geminorium
Lambda Hyades
Delta Sextantis
Zeta Scorpii
Beta Carinae
Beta Tauri
Gamma Sextantis
Delta Chandrasekhar
Alpha Sextantis
Zeta Orionis
Delta Aurigae
Beta Corvi
Epsilon Sextantis
Alpha Trianguli
Beta Circini
Gamma Circini
Alpha Olber
Gamma Mensae
Alpha Giclas.

It's not some sort of a "quest" objective that needs so much planning. Just shoot aliens while gathering minerals. Tongue

qwerty, all of those system have at least 100 or more biounits. The problem is, however, that most of the planets in these systems that have life are less that hospitable. Of course, the only way to upgrade your landers to survive in such conditions, is by gathering biounits and buying those upgrades from the Melnorme. And before you ask, no, you cannot buy them at the starbase, they are exclusive to the Melnorme technological investments.

Although, the easiest way to get credits is simply to visit Rainbow worlds. I'm not going to reveal any here, find them yourself.
