What's TFB up to?
« on: August 25, 2007, 08:21:04 pm »

As you know, TFB announced in IRC 2007 that they're working on a sequel to a game they've made before that's not Star Control. That rules out SC1, SC2, SC3 and StarCon ( Cheesy) and also possibly Tony Hawk's Downhill Jam, as it's a game they've made *before*.
Also, when Meep-Eep asked then if DESA is the game they're making a sequel to, they've said "NO!". That rules it out too.

As for me,
(EDIT: At this point I've accidentally pressed the post button)
...
-The Horde was just their "palette cleansing" after SC and it's a pretty old game too. Thumbs down on this one.
-Somebody else made a Pandemonium 2 so I think there may be some copyright problems. Nope.
-The Unholy War is an old game too, but if Crystal Dynamics let them make a sequel to it, it means they've become more open-minded towards sequels to old games. Would be good if it was this one!
-Majokko Dai Sakusen was a really low-budget game released only in Japan. Definitely not.
-102 Dalmatians and Madagascar are based on movies; those movies aren't getting sequels, at least yet, so it isn't too probable that TFB are working on this.

So my vote goes to The Unholy War. Downhill Jam was fairly probable too... but no, get that thought out of your head, Valaggar.

EDIT: OH NO! Madagascar is getting a sequel! And it's scheduled for November 2008... an exact timing! NOOOOOOOOOOOOO! (*vote changed*)

Hmmm, Madagascar's sequel is painfully convient. It'll be hard to deny that that's probably the one. Still, if Star Control is ruled out, the next game I'd like them to make a sequel of is either UnHoly Wars, either that or the Horde. I actually liked the Horde.

If it's the Horde 2 I'll wet myself Shocked

This game rocked on the 3DO! As a matter of fact, I've recently purchased a used 3DO witch came with several games including, you guessed it, The Horde. Will be enjoying this in the days that come.

Just because you want ot be right, not because you want to actually play it (I hope).

Yes, a guesst comes with every 3DO.

Enjoy.
