Hmm... it looks like it's in work since 2004... meh, yes... there were a lot of SC projects and they all died, because there were too few people working on too much stuff... Aftermath Wars is still progressing, though rather slowly... I wish MadGap and this PSG 7 guy would be working together on a single project, that would have more chances of being finished.

Yeah, as meep pointed out, that's Arne's work. That man is a genius with the pen and paper.

Wow. I love his art. Do you know if he's coded anything yet? He'd be fun to work with for sure.

Oy! That's my stuff indeed. Thanks for the love.
My SC project, like many other, is on ice. I have several SC pages here and there too, some contradicting each other in terms of concept and design because I keep revising stuff. It's not really a SC game in terms of gameplay, I just pay homage to the setting (which grabbed me the most). I also have a Starflight project, but nothing much online of that.
Both games would be very (very) 'sandboxy' and set in a single 2D playfield with persistent simulation of all ships in global game time. I coded a little gizmo just to see if it's possible, and it seems to be at a glance, even in BlitzMax. Computers are fast these days and should be able to handle many thousands of ships being simulated. It's especially easy in 2D space since you won't have to do a* pathfinding, Z culling etc. For long journeys in empty space, you can have ships update less frequently. Much of the NPC ships will do relatively short burts of thinking when docking or duking out.
I'm aiming for... Massively Multi-NPC Offline Elite meets RTS meets SC/SF and the player caught in the middle just being Average Joe. If he actually ends up making a difference, that's his doing and choice, not the work of predestination.
BlackSkyGame seems to share some of my philosophy, but it's not set in the SC universe afaik.
