I was going to say that this probably wasn't the reason, as he deleted his SCDB profile as well. But apparently I was wrong. Darn.

In my experience every forum has at least one immature poster. We all know them. I'm sure I've even been one at one time. Val was ours and now he's "taken his ball and gone to away" not realizing he's the only one that cares.

If I were mean-spirited, I would note that that tactic only has its intended impact if you actually go away afterwards.  Everyone just snickers if you leave forever only to come back later that day.
