Does anyone know where to get that Quasi-space music that's not in the remix packs but is in the game?
I like that music, but I can't find it anywhere.

Uh, extract it from the game content? The 3DO music content package is a renamed ZIP full of Ogg Vorbis files.

Hyperspace before going to Starbase
Out of Fuel
General Hyperspace
Enemy Hyperspace
Ally Hyperspace
Having the Chmmr Bomb

All seem like decent points for new tracks.

Hyperspace before going to Starbase? It should sound really creepy as if you're venturing into a lion's den. That and the probes should be enough incentive to find the starbase first. The only thing is that a lot of people will probably not hear it.

Enemy and ally hyperspace? I take it this is after discovering an ally/enemy ? If you do it before, you'd have a queue on when you fly into a region of inhabited space.

Are you talking about a fade out - fade in when moving from allied/neutral hyperspace to hostile hyperspace? Or maybe the coordinates from which the ship enters hyperspace determines the allied/neutral/hostile track?

If there would be a "before going to starbase" track, it should be relatively short since the probes are interrupting it all the time.

In regards to this remark and my own previous one; for some strange reason, the title tracks of The outer limits, The X-files and Dr. Who pop in my mind... And I don't even watch those shows.  Roll Eyes

I did this one a while ago. Was just playing with upscaling the samples on the original.
Thought it came out quite well..

Why don't all races have point defense lasers?

How about when you enter the star system where the hundreds of  Ur-Quan and Kohr-Ah are orbiting? Extremely foreboding, ominous music should start.

How about when you enter a race's homeworld (which is already known to you as a homeworld), you hear the appropriate "theme song" ?

How about when you enter Betelgeuse, you hear "What Is Love"?
