PS2 Port for UQM

Hey guys. I was wondering whether or not anyone ever had any plans to do a PS2 version of UQM. it think it would be an awesome idea, and would probably bring a whole new fanbase to the Star Control Universe. I was wondering if anybody supported this idea?

It would be tricky, but I think it is possible, since the UQM interface and style of gameplay certainly does lend itself to a fun console gaming experience. Also,  I think(not sure) that somebody was working on a PSP port for UQM. If a PSP port is there, I think a PS2 port is definitely possible. Anyone else thinking along the same lines as me?

That posting was about the first playstation. SBAttacker20 was asking about an PS2 port. Smiley

But the reply is the same: it's all a matter of finding someone with the time and skills to do it. And so far, noone has volunteered.

Hmm. Thats a great point meep-eep. However, I think with the diehard fanbase we have here, Im sure someone here has the ability and knowledge to do it. I would volunteer myself in a heartbeat, but I have no knowledge of what would need to be done, as I only have very limited computer programming knowledge myself.

Maybe I should move the post to another board or something(not sure), but now I'd like to ask. is there anyone here who is willing(and able)to work on a PS2 port for UQM?
