I have sc1 on a floppy disk, but my computer didn't have a floppy drive. However, I recently Came into possession of an old computer, and stole the floppy drive and ribbon cable out of it to put into this one. I did, but the computer doesn't seem to recognize it as even being there. Do I have to do something special to make it see it?

First, make sure that you've got the floppy cable connected the right way around (on both sides). Some drives can supposedly even wreck floppies if you have the cable connected wrong. The drive light should not be on continuously.
In the old days, you had to enable the floppy drive in your BIOS config. I don't know whether that is still the case with modern operating systems, which will generally ignore much of your BIOS settings. You'll at least need it if there is any need to boot from the floppy drive.
To enter the BIOS, you usually press DEL, F1, or F10 while the computer is booting up (before your operating system gives any life signs). In one of the menus you can set your floppy drive to 3.5"/1.44MB.
Under DOS, you didn't need any drivers to use a standard internal floppy drive (unless you go *way* back). The BIOS contained all the information it needs. It still does, but your operating system will probably want to use its own driver instead. I don't know about recent versions, but I think Windows comes with a driver pre-installed. You shouldn't have to do anything there.

So all i need to do right now is to set up the floppy drive in BIOS? I started to do that earlier but I got distracted by something and forgot about it. I'll go back to it.

You could save your self the trouble and download it from Abandonia. The review there was written by guesst. As he suggests, use DOSBox to run it.

Thanks. I still need the floppy drive for some other stuff, though. This way I can put it off some more.
