Some awesome fanart of mine. (HI-RES, excellent quality, 56k-ers beware.)

A little something I know everyone would like to see. Some fanart.

Gentlemen, behold:
The Slylandro Probe!!!

You can see the HI-RES image here: http://prowler2885.deviantart.com/art/Slylandro-Probe-SC2-FV-Plz-54092472

The link leads to my HI-res (and I mean, 56k-ers will hate me, HI-res) image. I will remedy this soon.
(2953×4169 pixels) ...yeah.

Check out my DeviantArt profile as well: http://www.prowler2885.deviantart.com/

(Not really much, but I'll get stuff in soon/eventually/whenever I feel like it. I'm a procrastinator, I'll explain later...)

It's not your ordinary fanart either. I made this entirely in Photoshop CS, no tracing or WACOM tablet assistance, and the sample I provide is low-res (compared to the linked). Plus, the image is best viewed in full. Sorry for not providing any smaller samples.

Seeing as everyone on this forum KNOWS what Starcon is; I give anyone with Adobe (Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.) skills permission to use this image to make avatars, sigs, PSP wallpapers, etc. Just give me credits for spending the time making it please. Thank you.

PS- If anybody wants me to sell prints of this pic so you have posters or whatever DeviantArt provides (Or think I might be selling myself out. I'm new to the whole selling thing.), give me a YAY or NAY.

I was just basing the "awesome" off of reviews I got in other places. Sorry if I sounded like an ass with the topic name. It turned into a self-promotion apparently.

As for the viewing error, I tested it out myself. It works for me. That's odd.

Nice probe. But what's with the blue force field around it? [just asking, not meant to be a "you did it wrong" kind of question]

It's supposed to be the energy glow all around the ship. Kinda like a binding for all the loose material to allow duplication and whatnot. Also, I kept on trying to make the thing look right in both HR and LR modes, but with the limited ram of the computer I used, it took too long to render every minute change.

I can always lower the intensity of it so it's less obvious. That'll at least put less stress in the correction process.

It looks a bit different from the game sprite, but it's pretty hot per se. Cool

Nicely done Prowler2885; I love seeing the artwork that people make that's been inspired by Star Control.  The lightning effect is cool, and the space background is nicely filled, and makes the probe stand out more.
