I know nothing other than the absolute basics of hex (i.e. I know the general idea). I want to finally figure this out and have decided to start with my StarCon2 savegame to tweak the bio data amount I have. The problem is I don't know exactly what I'm looking at. In a different forum, the address for the values was listed as "0x14-0x15 = Bio Data". I've searched the information on the screen and found four or five _ _14s and one or two _ _15s. Can someone point me in the right direction to look for information? I'd love to be able to solve this on my own, but I don't know enough to seperate "good" website advice from "generic/crap" advice.
0x14 and 0x15 are hexadecimal numbers, for 20 and 21 decimal. The BIO count is in the bytes on positions 20 and 21 in the file; as counting starts at 0, this means the 21th and 22th byte.
I advice against cheating though if you haven't finished the game normally yet.

Thank you for ponting that out. I don't intend to cheat, but I figured a savegame was a good way to learn, if I screw something up I can reload a "good" game and save over the "bad" one and start again
