ok.. first of all hi to everybody ... i know that you people are tired of explaining how to install it but please help me install mine ...
okm i just downloaded the game unziped it and searching for updateds i found this site... since i dont have much expirience with computers i will try to explain my problem... as i understand from the download section this "The Ur-Quan Masters 0.6.2 " is an enchandted expansion or...
i download the game and unziped it... in the readme manual i didnt found the solution how to insttal or run the game exept some pointers like start :
MELEE.EXE to start the game or
STARCON2.EXE
STARCON2.COM
anyway whatever i try to start i get this error:
can anyone help me  . with this... and the other question regardless
Ur-Quan Masters 0.6.2
how to install it and where are those lager files that i need with an installer... and since i dont have expirience with instaling old games.. is there any optimised and packed version of everything???

i manage to install and ... welll.... i got killed many times and a lot of confused.. but still seems like great game... i downloaded and install content and voice module.. still need
3DO music package, and something that i notice that i dont have and that is not on this site when i cheked it says 3DO content ...
do i need that and what do you people recomend...

Apart from the basic content package, UQM includes two optional content packages from the 3DO version of SC2: voice and music. The voice package adds speech to alien dialogue, while the music package adds remixed versions of some tunes (pretty much everything except alien dialogue background music) from the 3DO version. The 3DO version also included intro, ending and ship presentation videos ("ship spins"). UQM 0.6.2 supports the intro and ending videos, but they are not available for download for copyright reasons. The ship spins are similarly not available, but are supported in the current development version of UQM (which will become the next release).

OK, I'll give it a spin, thanks. 
<edit> Except, I don't know how to test. I don't see any presentation videos in melee or regular game mode.
<edit> I can't make the C button work, and now my music has quit working, still trying..
<edit> Success! It was the right alt key. Still no music though.
<edit> All working now. I rebooted and cleaned the config files in appdata. Awesome-O!,
